Supercharged Food For Kids: A recipe book review.
I am quite aware that many of my followers are busy mums. Many of you are doing your best to juggle a multitude of hats whilst trying hard to give your children the very best start. I am not a mother, so my food does not necessarily cater for the particular tastes of little people. It was because of this gap in my whole foods ‘way’ that I have decided to share you with a most fabulous children’s recipe eBook Supercharged Food for Kids . This recipe book is perfect for time-poor parents, many of whom may feel baffled when it comes to understanding how to best fuel their children for optimal health.
But first a little introduction to Lee Holmes, the author of this wonderful book. I first stumbled across Lee and her fabulous whole foods recipe book, Supercharged Food, at the time of my CFS diagnosis. This book quickly became a bible during my path to wellness – I referred to it almost every day. Lee’s recipe book is testament to her return to health from an auto-immune disease and is full to the brim with nourishing tips, pantry suggestions and gorgeously simple recipes. Lee is a Certified Health Coach (through the Institute of Integrative Nutrition), a whole foods chef and author. Lee’s blog recently won the Healthy Eating Category at the Bupa Health Influencer Awards.
Her latest recipe book, Supercharged Food for Kids, contains over 90 delicious, wholesome recipes and meal solutions that are not only delicious but provide the necessary nutrients to sustain children’s energy levels, concentration and performance. It is full to the brim with healthy versions of your children’s favourite meals including Cauliflower Mac and Cheese, Pirate Muesli Bars, Cacao Bomb Crackles, Cheesy Mini Tartlets, Crunchy Chicken Drummers, Rice Crispy Bars, Zoo Poo, Watermelon Ice pops, Gluten Free Pita Pockets, Savoury Breakfast Muffins – just to name a few! Needless to say this book caters beautifully for the creative minds of little people.
What is particularly awesome about this eBook is it isn’t simply a recipe book. It is highly educational. Lee hasn’t spared any effort sharing her tips – how to remove sugar and processed foods, she provides a shopping list, a Monday to Friday lunch box menu and sneaky superfood suggestions. It even caters for special diets and allergies and provides information on eating for mood and concentration and for high energy kids.
This is a beautiful book full of highly informative, easy to follow instructions and valuable tips. It is available here for just $18.
